Khanh’s family came to Australia as Vietnamese refugees in the early 80s and worked hard to make a new life for themselves. Due to regrettable circumstances, Khanh and his younger brother were left behind in Vietnam in the care of relatives. Khanh was sponsored to Australia through the Family Sponsorship program in 1986 and has since made Australia his home. Khanh has no particular political influence (and will vote for the party with the best policy at the time) but likes to shake hands with decision makers.
Khanh served as a gunner in the Royal Australian Artillery before commencing his law career in 2001. Khanh was formerly a director of Melcorp1 Pty Ltd, a company that import wine and liquor but resigned from the position to pursue a career in law. Khanh graduated from Bond University with a Bachelor of Law in 2003. Prior to joining Law Essentials, Khanh worked as a commercial lawyer in Cairns and Melbourne. Khanh specializes in the following areas of law:
- Sales and acquisitions of businesses including hotels, motels and transfers of liquor licenses.
- Incorporating of companies and formation of trusts.
- Tax minimization and asset protection.
- Advice generally on commercial agreements and transactions.
- Commercial Leases and Retail Shop Leases.
- Commercial Litigation and disputes.
- Employment Law and all applications at the Fair Work Australia Commission.
- Immigration Law and Visa Applications.
Khanh acts for local businesses, realtors and developers. Khanh is a property investor and owns a number of investment properties in Victoria. He always keeps an eye on the property market and the economy and holds regular discussions with local realtors on the conditions of the property market. Khanh can also help broker deals with equity investors and developers. If you are an equity investor, Khanh encourages you to contact him to explore the possibility of joining in on some of the exciting developments in South East Queensland.
Khanh is an active member in the community and volunteers his legal expertise to the Taylor Street Community Legal Centre and is a member of Rotary and the Fraser Coast Cultural Festival Committee. Khanh is also a passionate fisherman and you will find him on the Urangan Pier most weekends, weather permitting. Khanh invites you to come and have a chat with him should you see him at the Pier (hopefully pulling up a big fish). |
