Now the Business Operations Leader of Law Essentials, Michael previously practiced as a Solicitor from 1988 until 2009. Michael commenced legal
practice in 1988, focusing on commercial,
litigation and fisheries areas. He is routinely
contracted by commercial fishing interest
groups to lobby Government in relation to
Fishing Legislation, and actively involved
with the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park

than 100 commercial fishing clients. A
measure of his expertise is his successful
defence of many of the significant
commercial fishing prosecution cases in
Queensland in the last decade.
Michael’s focus remains caring for our customers, however his time is largely spent managing the business and searching for business improvement and growth opportunities. In an effort to develop his business leadership skills, Michael has participated in business leadership executive training courses at Stanford Business School in California in 2008 and Harvard Business School in 2009.
As active outside the practice, as he is at
the office, Michael thrives on high energy
pursuits such as basketball, surfing, touch
football, running and team triathlon. |
